Calf Creek Falls...and camping

Dev and I have been wanting to go camping for quite some time now, but every weekend that comes it's crappy weather. So we decided that we were going to go no matter what. We go a late start on Friday (thanks to jobs). So we arrived at Calf Creek Falls Campground around 9:30 p.m. We drove around the campground and to our surprise.....no campground available! I was really wanting a place with a bathroom because of this whole being pregnant thing and having to go 24/7. So we came across the campground host. She told us to go five miles up the road to some BLM land. I had never just set up camp in a random place that's not in a campground and I thought the host and Dev were crazy.

So we drove up the road and found ourselves a nice little spot by some cactus' and weird lookin trees. We laid down our tarp , and then our air mattress and slept under the stars! It was SO much fun! I would occasionally wake up to a bug hitting my face, but besides that, I loved just sleeping under the stars!

The next morning we went and hiked Calf Creek Falls. It was a BEAUTIFUL hike full of red rock cliffs. The hike was mostly in sand which would get in your shoes quickly. It was a 3 mile hike in and then 3 out. At the end was this gorgeous waterfall (which this picture doesn't do it justice). On the way back from the waterfall, Dev forgot to put sunscreen on his bald spots. So this is why he's getting creative and looking like this. So this is my view of what I got to look at.

On our way back home, we were driving past this little town where we had seen a cop car on the way there. So we slowed down. As were were passing this cop car on the side of the road we noticed it wasn't really a cop, just a dummy! What a creative way for a little town to control the speeders!
